Stirling Carers Centre

WELCOME to the Stirling Carers Centre website - we trust you will find the information you are looking for - if not please call the Centre.

Stirling Carers Centre is delighted to inform you that the organisations detailed below are some of our major funders. A big thank you is extended to all.

An unpaid Carer is someone of any age who provides support to a family member or friend who would not manage without their help. They may be caring for a relative, partner, or friend who is ill, frail, disabled, or has mental health or substance misuse problems.  Unpaid Carers are ordinary people like you and I helping someone close to them to live as independently as possible in the community.

Unpaid Carers may be juggling paid work with their unpaid caring responsibilities at home. The term Carer should not be confused with a care worker, or care assistant, who receives payment for looking after someone.

If you are an unpaid Carer, we at Stirling Carers’ Centre may be able to help make things easier for you. We recognise that unpaid Carers have different needs.
