Young adult carers are young people aged 14–25 who care, unpaid, for a family or friend with an illness or disability, mental health condition or an addiction. They may be looking at moving out of home, going into higher education or juggling working lives with continuing to be a carer. Their needs may sometimes be different to those of other carers.
