Every year, 6,000,000 men, women and children care for a sick or disabled member of their family or friend, of these carers 3,000,000 are combining caring with working so it is very likely that some of your colleagues are amongst the 3 million working carers in the UK. How would you cope if :
- your wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer
- your husband had a motor accident and suffered serious brain injuries or
- your longed-for new baby was born severely disabled
Few of us plan to become carers, so when a caring role starts, every carer needs an expert to guide them through the maze of services, rules and entitlements. For a carer this can make the difference between staying healthy and collapsing under the stress or between keeping and losing their job.

We highly recommend our supporters to donate unrestricted funding - by making your financial support unrestricted it becomes far more powerful and far reaching, allowing us to respond to areas of most need immediately.
