This September forty riders from across the UK will be taking on their biggest challenge yet! They will cycle over 40,000km’s, they will climb over 240,000 ft., they will cross a sea twice; they will ride through pain all in name of Carers Trust (known as The Princess Royal Trust for Carers in Scotland). This is the London to Paris to London cycle event of 2012.
On the 6th September 2012 forty cyclists will embark on a gruelling four day challenge to raise funds and awareness for The Princess Royal Trust for Carers. The mammoth cycle will return to London on Sunday 9 September…..exhausted but exhilarated and you could be there.
London to Paris has been done London to Paris and back is something new, a challenge which is worthy of your support. Adding sparkle to lives of all Carers in the UK especially Young Carers is the real challenge and we hope this event will not only raise awareness of their daily challenges but also some much needed support and funding.
Event organiser and long-time Carers Trust supporter Jason Horn adds:
“We face a challenge to ride1000km’s over 4 days to support young carers in the UK, their challenge is to support their families every day for the rest of their lives. Completing challenges to raise awareness and funding for these amazing young people is the least we can do to say thank you. If we have every family in UK donate just 25 pence we’d be very grateful.”
The fee for each participant is £275 plus a commitment to raise a further £500 each minimum so with 40 entrants this will raise £23,000 minimum we are hoping to raise £25,000 for Carers Trust.
