Chief Executive | UK wide carers’ charity | Central London | £85K
Carers Trust is one of the UK’s leading carers’ charities. The new organisation will build on the national and local experience and expertise of its founder charities, and will create a united and stronger voice – a voice that will enable us to raise more awareness of carers’ issues and promote the delivery of high quality services and support to meet their needs, both directly and via our network of more than 200 independently governed local charities.
This is an exciting and challenging role that will involve integrating the two founder charities, leading the set-up of the new organisation and establishing the New Charity within the sector. You will help develop and implement our strategy and provide direction and strong leadership to a diverse and geographically spread staff team whilst leading service provision to the network. You will also play a key role in raising the profile and income of the organisation and influencing policy.
To be considered for this role you will have a proven track record of leading a geographically spread organisation, ideally within the not for profit sector. You will have experience of management in a post-merger environment or with an organisation that has gone/going through significant change. You will of course be adept at building relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including influencing key decision makers and raising the profile of an organisation, and you will have first class communication skills. In addition you will have a comprehensive understanding of, and credibility within, the health and social care sector and a track record of achievement in income generation.
