Learning opportunities for carers
How can you do that evening class you’re interested in, maintain your editing skills, start learning that new language or restart the GCSE you were doing at college before Mum had her stroke?
It’s hard enough for anyone to do this, but if you are also caring for someone else at the same time it seems impossible.
But the UK's leading independent provider of tutor-supported home study courses, the National Extension College (NEC), is working in partnership with The Trust and has obtained funding from the Big Lottery Fund so that carers can access NEC courses at reduced rates.
Caring with Confidence
Caring with Confidence is a free Department of Health (DH) backed knowledge and skills based learning experience for carers in England.
It aims to help carers make a positive difference to their lives and that of the person they care for.
