Carers in the City - a collection of stories and poems by carers in Manchester

A new book, Carers in the City, is a collection of stories and poems offering a rare and moving insight into the very personal and challenging world of the carer. The stories, written in the early part of this year, are all by people caring for a family member and reveal how varied their lives are.

Published by The Princess Royal Trust Manchester Carers Centre as part of their 10th anniversary celebrations, the book’s aim is to raise awareness of carers and their issues and to celebrate the fantastic contribution that carers make to city-life in Manchester.

Copies are £5 each (+£1 p and p) and can be ordered from Frankie at The Princess Royal Trust Manchester Carers Centre on 0161 835 2995 or email frankie@manchestercarers.org.uk. All proceeds go to help fund services and develop new projects to support carers in Manchester.
